Ecuador is a land of volcanoes and Quilotoa accounts as one of its most spectacular natural jewels. Before you get the chance to admire it with your own eyes, you will travel through a myriad of landscapes and make some unique encounters making this tour a truly epic journey around the Volcanoes Avenue.
You will head out early for this tour, as your guide will pick you up in Masaya at 6:30am and you will soon reach your first stop at a traditional market at either Saquisili or Pujili depending on the day of the week. There you will have a chance to have breakfast and pack up on snacks, fruits or water in preparation for your hike.
You will then make a stop at an indigenous family house, and at two different viewpoints called el mirador del Lago San Pablo and the Toachi canyon before reaching Quilotoa. There you will start descending to the lake, relax and enjoy the scenery at the bottom and start the ascend which should take you about one hour. Then you will enjoy a well-deserved lunch before heading back to Quito.
